Breakouts for Sep 24th: First off - apologies on the PWLX chart yesterday - I figured the prices and objectives from the Sep 8th chart, and not the Sep 22nd chart. If anyone noticed they would have been very happy as the stock was up over 50% today! Onto tomorrow's selection. The first pick, BGO, is a featured gold play on my public stockchart list. It was the only gold stock to appear on my scan. The sector gained on some media coverage, following the lead of silver stocks which made breakouts earlier this week. BGO released an update from the Kupol mining project. Slow stochastics are bullish, but not yet overbought. The MACD trigger line is on the verge of a breakout, and on-balance volume has crossed over its 20-day moving average. All three technical factors suggest there is more upside to come. GTC buy orders a couple of cents over $2.70 should be good to catch a pullback if looking to add (or start) a position here. The second pick, BCON, is working its way out from an extended base. The stock is showing good technical strength, particularly its MACD and on-balance-volume. Today's close may be a little too extended to buying off tomorrow's open, but a series of smaller GTC orders between $0.46-0.53 should be good to create a modest position in the stock. The large breakdown gap from $1.03 is the first logical price target. The third pick, HDTV, also sits on resistance. but excellent upside volume would suggest there is further upside to come. Technical strength is perhaps not as strong as the previous two picks, but the price is better for taking a position off tomorrow's open. The stock has benefited from analyst coverage. The price target is based on psychological resistance ($10), although there is some resistance around $8 from 2001/2002.
