Breakouts for June 14th: The first pick, AH, featured as a gold member play for May 12th. Technicals are improving with the MACD trigger line above the bullish zero line, although on-balance-volume has yet to break resistance. The company was awarded a new $95.6m contract on Monday. Its current P/E of 13.35 is below the competitor average of 19.66 leaving room for further upside. A move to $39.00 will trigger a double top breakout on the point-n-figure chart although cautious buyers may want to wait for a close above the 200-day MA ($40.06). The second pick, BEV, is not a breakout play but is certainly one to keep on the watch list. Short term traders could buy here and run a stop at $12.19 but for the purpose of my analysis I am using a stop based on the 5-month price congestion. Both the MACD trigger line and slow stochastics are firmly in the bull court favoring a continuation of upside and a test of $12.73 resistance. The stock has surpassed its point-n-figure target of $9.50 and has no overhead resistance beyond $12.75. The stock first featured on my site as a gold member pick for January 24th. The third pick, BXG, showed the ideal doji hammer reversal from April 5th. The last couple of weeks have seen some very tight price action allowing for a low risk longside entry. The ideal pivot buy price is $17.55 but the impatient may try and get in earlier (but it would be important to maintain a tight stop to protect against a reversal). The company's P/E of 13.4 is below a competitor's average of 36.62 so there is room for upside. The point-n-figure chart shows a double top breakout from May 23rd with a price target of $26.00. Excellent technicals as demonstrated by an accumulation trend in on-balance-volume, a bullish divergence in the MACD trigger line, and overbought slow stochastics. Its 'A' ranking from Investors Business Daily does it no harm either.
