Breakouts for Dec 13th: Three low price picks which may not appeal to all. Quality picks of higher prices are available to Gold members. The first pick, ARDM, pushed over $1.74 resistance on strong volume. The stock blows hot and cold with respect to volume, so using GTC orders down to $1.74 and waiting for a fill is perhaps the best bet here. Friday's volume was not tied to any news release. Strength in on-balance-volume points to accumulation with strong upward momentum (slow stochastics) and a MACD trigger line sitting just shy of resistance (and about to resume a new uptrend). The price target is based on weekly resistance. The second pick, FNSR, gapped up Friday but should be watched for consolidation to digest the gains. GTC orders to $2.01 are likely good enough for fills. Decent technical strength, lead by on-balance-volume at new highs and a point-n-figure price target of $4.50. The company had released earnings on Friday which beat expectations. The third pick, GLOW, had released a string of PR releases which lead to a break of a 9-week consolidation. The stock is working its way out of a decline started in April 2004. Decent technicals supported by a rising slow stochastic, on-balance-volume at new highs, and a bullish MACD trigger line crossover above the bullish mid-line. The price target is based on weekly resistance.
