Breakouts for Dec 12th: Just two picks for Monday; none of the stocks from my original breakout scan looked buy worthy so I have selected the two stocks I was going to use the previous day. The first pick, OMCL, breached resistance Thursday on heavy volume, consolidating Friday to close above $10.72 support. Short term traders could run a tighter stop at around $10.98 but the real action won't come until there is a break of $11.51. Slow stochastics and on-balance-volume confirm bullish momentum, bulls need to watch the bearish divergence in the MACD trigger line although new near term highs in the indicator favors a test of MACD resistance (at minimum). A move to $12.00 will trigger a double top breakout with a lofty point-n-figure price objective of $23.00. I am looking at a measured move target first. The second pick, OCR, is closer to breaking the bearish divergence of its MACD trigger line. Slow stochastics sneaked back into overbought territory as on-balance-volume ended the week at new highs. Friday's downgrade in its debt rating didn't knock its price too much out of sync. The stock has far surpassed its point-n-figure target of $49 as Thursday's trading led to an ascending triple top breakout. My target is drawn from a measured move forward. The third pick, is no pick .
