Breakouts for Aug 18th: Three current plays which made additional breakouts. The first pick, GR, featured as a breakout for July 8th. The stock closed over $45 resistance on light volume with a 'buy' signal cross in the MACD trigger line and on-balance-volume, but no new near term high in either. The current move continues a triple top breakout from February 1st which is due for a more substantial pullback although it maintains an upside target of $72.50. I have projected a price target based upon a measured move upwards. The second pick, CNET, was a Gold Member play from July 1st. The stock breached a small handle on above average volume supported by a strong accumulation trend in on-balance-volume and a modest gain in the MACD trigger line. The point-n-figure chart shows an upside target of $23.00 as part of a June 30th Triple top Breakout. The company was rated as a 'Hold' by Jefferies & Co. on August 16th. The third pick is SKS, was also a Gold Member play from July 1st. The stock completed a narrow consolidation by closing at new highs with new near term highs in the MACD trigger line and on-balance-volume. The point-n-figure chart shows a strong uptrend as part of a June 30th double top breakout with a preliminary price target of $39.50. I have raised both the stop and target price from the Gold Member feature. The company had announced after hours the departure of a senior HR executive to move to J. Crew as executive vice president and CFO for their upcoming IPO.
