Breakouts for Apr 6th: All three stocks featured today carry high Investor Business Daily rankings. The first pick, ABRX, first featured as a breakout for March 9th. I have raised the stop and target price from the original prices suggested. Has the stock moved at what was said at the CIBC Biotech conference? Excellent technical strength led by new highs in the MACD trigger line, on-balance-volume, and overbought slow stochastics. The stock is working through a 20-month base although volume has disappointed into the RHS base. A move to $26.00 will mark new all-time highs and if accompanied by heavier volume (200% average) will be very bullish for the stock. The point-n-figure target is $32.50. The second pick, AMHC, featured as a breakout for August 3rd. I have also raised the stop and target price from the original prices set. Favorable comments from First American helped boost this stocks profile. The stock closed at an ideal pivot point buy, some 15 cents over resistance. Resistance was breached in on-balance-volume and the MACD trigger line, supporting the move in price and negating bearish divergences in these indicators. Excellent Investors Business Daily rank supports long side positions. The point-n-figure target is $49.00. The third pick, CFCI, breached resistance on heavier volume following earnings. The stock continues a run from $8.00. The stock has almost reached its point-n-figure target of $27.50 but has no overhead resistance. Look to psychological resistance at $30 and $35 as the next price target. Technicals are supported by a MACD trigger line 'buy' well above the bullish zero line and new highs in on-balance-volume. Slow stochastics are overbought. Chief concern if you look at the Gallery Stockchart.com chart is a large bearish divergence in money flow.
